Happy Hump Day! A few years ago, I received the loveliest, most attentive package from one of my favorite clean skincare spots, Take Care Shop based in Washington, D.C. The shop’s owner, Becky Waddell, has been so patient with me when it comes to my allergies and my skincare needs and goals. Becky even took the time to look up ingredients and their derivatives, ensuring they are safe for my super sensitive skin.
This is one of the many reasons why I shop with small businesses. Small business owners like Becky really care about their clients! I’ll be honest, my loves, (most of) the big corporations don’t care about you or how your skin reacts to their products – they just care that you spend your money on them. There’s really no need, when you can support kind, dedicated people who care about what they do and the people they help, not just the money they make.
